A really simple but effective pattern. Its really simple to tie also.
Hook: B170
Thread :uni 8/0 rusty brown
Abdomen : copper and brown (ultra wire) copper wire
Thorax : harelug
Hackle : starling
1. Tie in a starling feather for the hackle.

2. Tie in 2 lengths of copper wire of differant colours , here Ive used brown and copper.
[attachimg=2]
3. wind the wire in touching turns up the body.
[attachimg=3]
4. continue winding the wires up the body till you get to the thorax then remove waste and dub the thread with haresear for the thorax.
[attachimg=4]
5. Wind the dubbed thread to create a thorax.
[attachimg=5]
6. Wind the hackle with hackle pliers , one turn should be ample, (and even then you might want to pull out the occasional fibre). Whip finish and varnish, now go and catch some fish!
