Ive aquired a few cock  pheasant centre tails, and fancy dying a few varying shades of olive etc just to give me a varied  choice. I was going to use veniards dyes to dye them. Would i be better bleaching them first or just dying them as they are. How do you go about the bleaching process?

Cheers Col

hi Col its best to use the bleach that women use on their hair but be carefull it tends to leave the feathers quite brittle.its more important to wash them well and make sure any oils and dirt are out before you start.veniards do stuff called venpol but if its material you can rub without damaging i just use cheap shampoo with conditioner.
