QuoteLIFFE project has started and involves the restoration of natural processes in the Upper catchment of the South Esk. Bank protection which has resulted in the destruction of spawning areas will be removed at Acharn, Braedownie and Moulzie. The project also aims to facilitate SRDP applications from farmers for a wide range of environmental measures which will be of benefit to the upper catchment as a whole.

The LIFE projects are the EU funded environmental projects usually accessed by the likes of the Forestry Commission or similar and then recycled in their own schemes or projects.
