I have started making some enquires locally about setting up an Aberdeen / shire casting club. My own guess it has to be close to Aberdeen if it's got any chance of getting off the ground. I'll keep you informed if and when there is anything to keep you informed about.

Albert, I was at a casting day at Haddo today, seems pretty much what you want to see a few demonstrations followed by some fault finding/encouragement with a couple of instructors and a nice relaxing atmosphere similar to previous days organised by Fred at Haddo.
