Just after the warranty ran out my Brother A3 printer has packed in.
Any recommendations for a replacement?
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

I can't see by Canon. All my printers have been from them and I never had any trouble with them. I like the fact they use separate inks for each colour so when one runs out it is the only one replaced.

I've always been an Epson user, but recently bought a Cannon Pixma.  Seems to be a very good product, only £49 from Tesco Direct.

If you are only printing from time to time these inkjet printers are a real nuisance for drying up and new ink cassettes are where they make their money !! I gave an Epson inkject into the Freecycle recently because I got fed up with it. Laser jets are not subject to this but the ink powder cassettes are more expensive so you pays your money and takes your choice. I have had a mono HP Laserjet for the last 13 years just for BnW printing and have changed the cassette only once three years ago. I expect to change it again in 2020 .......... if the cassette is still available.

The one I am using now Canon  has outlasted all my other ones put together including Epsom & HP.

Printers are as cheap as chips to buy now, the cost as you all know is with the ink replacement that is where the companies make their money.
