Title: Does anybody have a plan for a DIY Boat Seat
Post by: np01 on December 27, 2007, 12:01:29 PM
Having looked at the price of boat seats (the ones that sit on top of the gunwales) I thought it honestly can't be that difficult to make one of these (I'm thinking something one stage up the evolutionary scale from a scaffolding plank sawn in two here!). Does anyone have a plan or know the whereabouts of a plan for the fabrication of a boat seat?

Thanks

Nick

When having to fish from the other side of the boat then you have to move the whole thing  round and in a small boat that
can be very dangerous.  They are cumbersome and are best left in the boat if you are able to.    But they are better than nothing, they can certainly stave off a very sore back.
