Post by: Wildfisher on February 25, 2024, 04:02:24 PM
Anyone use these inflatable mats?

At 830gms that is heavy. I don't use them although George loves his :) I use a closed cell foam mat that I have had for probably sixty years and only weighs 271gms, harder to pack though :)

I have some Thermarest mats which roll quite small and self inflate when you reopen the valve. Open it to roll up then close it to stay flat to roll. There are now ultralight types but more expensive. Silver backed bubble wrap insulation roll works well and very light.

Alpkit do some good quality mats a lot cheaper than the branded ones from eg Thermarest etc. Worth a look.
