Title: 2 Weight Fly Line Profile.
Post by: roberth on June 16, 2016, 06:03:51 PM
I'm putting together a lightweight outfit for my local river and need a 2 weight fly line. Will the profile of the line matter as I rarely cast more than 10ft when fishing here?

Thanks, I would normally get a DT but have more options if I also consider WF, there are good deals on WF2 at the moment.

If you are only casting 10 feet you might be better trying  heavier line on your #2 weight rod.  A #3 or even a #4.

You could also try twenty pound dacron backing and mucilin to make it float  :8)
