I'm interested in some flies for Orkney in June.
Peach Muddler, as per any of the patterns on the OFTA website gallery. 5 x size 10, 5 x size 12
Orange sedgehog, same sizes
Orange halfhog, same sizes
Maybe a few more, once I have time to think about it! Anyone interested?
Can you give me pictures of the flies you want?
Will have to check first if I can obtain the desired materials...
Cheers, Hans
Try this Hans;
http://www.orkneytroutfishing.co.uk/fly%20gallery/gallery/index1.html (http://www.orkneytroutfishing.co.uk/fly%20gallery/gallery/index1.html)
That coral hedgehog looks pretty good now too....this could get expensive....
Looks like I can tie most of these, at least closely resembling the ones on the site....
Will tie a few samples, take pictures and show them here.
Than you decide if you want the flies, and how many.
The 30 flies you mention in your post would cost GBP 35, incl shipping.
Maybe PM your mail address, I can send the pics by e-mail.
Cheers, Hans
Guess I can tie the samples this evening and mail the pictures.
Will post them here as well.
Cheers,
Hans

Some flies i need if anyone can help.
I want to start fishing dries more and get confidence up using them.
What would i need for wild waters? wee klinkhammers and deer hair emergers?
Deer Gravy sent me some but i culd do with some more
Dark claret deer hair sedge 10 - 14 scale down as the wave drops.
Simplest, most versatile and most effective fly in my box. You can fish as a dry, as a bob fly or both at the same time :?
I like a version with a silver tinsel rib as well.

Never thought about tying for anyone else...but for the forum I could turn out a selection of sedges.
PM me if you are interested.
Tim

Chris,
PM me with your address and I'll send you some dry flies suitable for lochs.
Always happy to help someone new to any kind of fishing.

Loch dries are no different from any other kind of dries.

I am looking for someone to tie me 36 flies in size 14 they are kate mclarens and 2 types of kate variant - 1 dozen of each. I can send pictures to anyone willing do this for me. I know a kate is very common but a chap used to tie this specifically bushy type for me unfortunately he is no longer available.
Any help wi this gratefully received. If you drop me a pm I'll reply with the pictures (after I dig my fishing bag oot the garage!). I have 1 of each kind left used but useable so if neccessary I could send the flies.
Cheers for the help in advance,
Scott.

Goggs,
I generally don't tie flies for other people as I'm a very slow tyer.
As it happens though I'll be tying up some loch flies in the near future.
I'm assuming you're not in a rush for them....there's 8 weeks to the start of the season anyway.
I'll pm you when they're ready.
wee bri...........
That would be much appreciated mate, just let me know in your own time :D

I would like to thank the tyers who have participated in this scheme for their time and effort.
Only a month to the start of the Brown Trout season here in Scotland so if you are looking for those hard to get flies you better get asking before the tying season ends :)
I would like to give a big Thanks to wee bri for tying me loads of cracking flies,I'm really pleased with my flies and cant wait for the season to get started now!!!!!!!
All Brian asked from me was to donate to the forum which i did promptly.
Thanks Brian.
Hi All,
if I asked REALLY nicely would someone be able to whip me up a good selection of drys like klinks and other emergers. My tying is not up to it yet :(
Hi Dave,
PM me and I will see what I can do for you.
Please do not wait too long, as in 2 weeks I will be away for a 12 days bonefish-trip at Exuma.
If you tell me what you want (sizes and how many) I will give you a price.
Cheers, Hans
Hi All,

I am very keen to fish my local river for trout this year with the Dry Fly when the time is right
It seems that Olives are the predominant type of fly species on the river.
I would be most grateful if anyone could tie me a wee selection to cover the period from the start of the Season to about July for daytime and evening fishing.
I normally tie my own Salmon and wet flies but just cannot get down to 14's to 18's successfully, especially Parachutes/Klinkhammers
Please pm me if able to help. I will gladly tie up some good salmon flies for you want to do a swap.
tweedbunnet
PM Buzz on here, he ties the most exquisite olive imitations - he'll charge, but they are worth it
Norm
Hi Guys,
I am new to the fly tying scene and while Im getting on ok, I find Im spending most of my time practising and tying and not enough time fishing. So, I was wondering if there was anyone out there who could tie me a wee selection of wet and dry flies, but specifically dry for river. I try and fish my local river 2-3 times a week and have had a fair bit of success on what I would call a yellow may dunn, but cant seem to get a likeness anywhere.
If anyone can help, please PM me for details,
Cheers,
Chris
i am looking for some sedgehogs (claret), bibios and cdc yellow owls 3 size 14 of each and 3 size 16 of each
Hi All
I am looking for somebody to tie me some dabblers (claret, pearl, olive) bob flies (Kate's etc), muddlers (Pearl muddler dabbler etc) and wee doubles using good hooks and materials for a reasonable price.
thanks
George
wouldn't mind a couple turks tarantulas and a couple black supermodels (like the pic admin posted today) if anyone fancies making them or something similar up. Just let me know how much and who to pay or i could swap for some exquisite drys that i have and i don't as yet use. They are tiny wee things, i can post some pictures if need be. Dont know the quality of hook etc as i had them passed down to me. A few pictures would answer most questions though if need be.
Cheers.
Buzz, I miss seeing your flies presented with the nice sweets that I could not get over here ... :D

When do you need them for? If you don't mind waiting till the end of the month I'd whip you up a few turks tarantulas for a donation to the forum. I've got stacks of deer hair and more than enough massive hooks :)
Thanks, i can do that. No rush, end of month is fine. I'll pm you with more info.
Cheers
Flies tied and delivered as requested for forum donation. A couple extras chucked in too. Thanks.

Not sure if anyone still does this Mark.
Oh ok. I always see these things too late
Thanks for the heads up Fred.
It is also difficult during the season. I haven't tyed any flies for fifteen months or so and usually only to replenish what I need.
Tony. I could give it a go, been meaning to tie up a few for myself. Will have to check the Davie McPhail pattern. It may take a wee while to get them tied when do you need them by?
Hi I am looking for someone to tie me some dabblers please. Black dabblers and black and pearl dabblers and possibly a few other dabbler variations.
George
Not sure if anyone visits this thread anymore, but:
if anyone has the time and know how i'm in need of DHS bob wyatt style for this coming summer, and a few with rubber legs wouldn't hurt either. lost most of my decent flyboxes and contents to mould and rust caused by a flood
Happy to pay and/or contribute to the forum as i have done in the past....
I might try tying a variation on a Turks T, not sure I'm good enough a tier to do a proper one.

Would be happy to do a bunch for you. Blue Zulu have attached a quick tied one, just to let you see, if you want let me know colours, more or less wing, larger dubbed body etc. Don't want paid happy just to have a reason to tie. One snag, I'm not home till July but could maybe get someone to post for me during a leave. You could give a small donation to site if you were happy
