Making Your Rod Work?

I was up at Magnus?s place the other day for some casting tuition. Very worth while it was too. Magnus is a great guy as well as a top casting instructor.

Anyway, think about making your rod work, but be careful. Magnus showed me a ?700  Hardy Angel that one of the guys from the Sexyloops forum (a top caster) really had made work. So much in fact that it sheared ? way up the handle.   :shock:  No kidding, this has to be seen to be believed. I believe it's known as flexing the rod.

Yeah I should really learn to be more gentle with those cheap rods
