The fish have been scarce but good to know some of the insect life survived the floods.

Where is that Billy? Up from Parkhill?

Fred,

It was just at the Streams below the cemetry at Dyce.

Bobfly

A few of them every day would pack on the flesh.  :D :D
Rather to my surprise one day I found a boulder in the Braan which had a great collection of recently vacated massive empty nymph cases from caddis probably of a similar type to those ones. It looked like they must have crawled up the stone and hatched out then once above the water level as I doubt it had dropped down in the previous days. The empty body cases were over and inch long and thick with it.

This is a nymph case of one.

Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.

Right, just down from The Manse Pool. Thought I recognised it.
