Woodcock ( Scolopax rusticola 14") Hackles from Woodcock wing coverts and undercoverts are used on a large number of flies. They make excellent soft hackle spiders. The wing primary and secondary flight feathers are also used on a number of flies.Body feathers are not used much, and only the wings are usually easily obtainable anyway.
