I've not been out in it yet. I badly damaged my left shoulder last June and I only got the all clear a few weeks ago, just in time for me to tear the meniscus in my knee which means I can't walk for more than about 200 metres without having to stop and let it settle down. I've now been told not to do anything which is driving me crazy!

I've got another boat on the way though - this time a complete restoration of a single scull. Whether I'll fish from it is another matter. One former member of this forum and a mad keen fisherman from Aberfoyle actually fishes all over Scotland in his single scull. He ties his oar handles together with the blades flat on the water to act as stabilisers. I spotted him a couple of times last year fishing on Loch Ard in the evenings.
