my wee reel gave broke tonight and ive been toying with a new one for ages, any one used lamson reels much before, quite fancied the guru 1.5

I use the Lamson Litespeed LS2.

I have 5 of them. Enough said :)

There was a problem with the drag elements on some reels a few years back, but that was resolved by changing the metal used, if i remember right.

I have a couple of the Litespeeds I also had the Guru 1.5 and it is a good reel for the money but it looks unfinished imo. But the drag is just like all of the Lamson reels, spot on

I have the guru 2 and I love it, it is the only one I seem to grab when I go fishing.  Used it all this week on 18- 22" bows & brownies, not a problem.

Nice choice! I had a play with one in Melbourne, liked it a lot.
