thanks lads for your replys for loch ba. and the other lochs in the area not long back from trip .it was hard going cold north west wind cold on the hands.me and my pal eck fished the shore across from the boat house lots of nice wee bays fishy looking corners. eck caught a braw trout just over the the half pound on a bibio, then i caught one just about the same size on a claret snacher. eck landed another much smaller fish and that was it for the day. we had sleet sunshine cold winds but what a braw place, we tried na achlaise for a hour not a touch, did see black buzzers on both lochs but think we were a bit earley water still very cold, be back up there when it warms up a bit and then we will be getting bitten to death with the midges haha cheers andy m

You did well to catch this early in the season.

Achlaise can be very dour , particulary at the roadside, but it does have some good fish in it if you can avoid the shoals of bandies
