Found this old gem from the 90s.  Must admit my sympathies tended to shift towards the poacher as the film went on as the various legal absurdities were aired.
Laugh is we have even fewer salmon now than we did back then. It's worth a watch just for the social commentary.  :)

It was good and highly entertaining. Dated  a bit by the chain smoking poacher. I did like his logic  though - the 30 fish he took from The Junction Pool overnight would have moved upstream anyway, so the anglers would be non the wiser.  ;D
