I've been using dental gum scissors from ebay at £4 a pair. Very good for the money.

I use Sportfish Black Loop for deer hair etc. with a tungston edge and a pair of Dr Slick Gold Loop. Both seem to be very long lasting.
I bought four pairs of the small dental type as presents for daughter and others as they had finger loops which were too small for my hands but they have a good narroe point.
