I remember catching one last Ist April. It was 64kgs and we had to buy new kitchen scales.  :8) :8)

I remember getting 1 on Loch tay. When I landed it the Loch dropped 2ft.

Now that's called marketing!!

Tyee are nothing more than a big Chinook Salmon.  It has to be over 30 pounds to be considered a Tyee.  They are not a subspecies or a new species, or particularly rare, there are thousands caught every year.  And chefs are not salivating over the thoughts of these fish, smaller Chinook taste better.
