Title: Killer Dog
Post by: Wildfisher on November 05, 2023, 11:58:21 AM
The camera does lie. looking after my son's 3 year old cream lab, who, typical of his breed has the tendency to lick people to death.

Get them running though and they can look intimidating.  ;D

Meet Dexter, built like a brick shithouse, low centre of gravity, strong as an ox and as gentle as a lamb.

I have 10 Labs here just now (three are 10 weeks old with two of them leaving shortly). They are all good natured, although non dog people can be intimidated by the pack. There is never any fighting, and the three pups can go to any of the big dogs bowls at feeding time and share the food. They are a good natured breed.

Other Killer Dog events on the go with two XL deaths and four hospitalised in the last month alone. Two of those hospitalised were indoors at the owner's place so muzzling only outdoors after the new regs wouldn't have helped.
I was speaking to a vet friend a few weeks ago about this. He is now retired and said that the worst bite he had in his career came from a labrador. A bit ironic !

This is Dexter's normal dumb expression.  ;D
