Title: The local this morning.
Post by: Wildfisher on November 11, 2023, 04:26:48 PM
The local this morning. It's a fine spot for a walk, if a touch "glaury". Now that's a fine auld Scots word for you . 😀

Lots of water in it right now Dave, can get very low in the summer. That's part of the top beat which is less machete-esque than farther downstream where it is massively overgrown. I fish there mostly, partly for the ease of the banks and partly because it is so close to my house I could walk there. Early season these pools can hold some good fish, but when the water drops in late spring they tend to drop downstream to find deeper water leaving the smaller fish.
