Didnt know about the 1m storm surge though, in Sconser I was 22m above sea level so ok there. The winds where a different matter and I wasnt sure if the car was going to still be there in the morning, having parked it the best place I could think off, mine was three others in the village had been blow over along with many other structures.
If anyone remembers the walls of ruined stone house (I think it had a roof and many a camper pitched a tent there rather than pay at the campsite ) a couple of kms up from the Slig on the Dunvegan road, cause it got blow over that night.
4m storm surge would have me getting concerned about where I live now which is about 7m above sealevel.
