That's odd, it works perfectly here Mike. It does translate every age on demand, so perhaps some movement is inevitable. Should not be an issue for you anyway as you can read perfectly well in English.  :D

Jumps up and down all the time here, every  time I click on something, I thought my Firefox had gone wonky at first. Have blocked it now and everything is back to normal;

It inserts itself after the page is laid out Fred, The page drops down as it fits itself in. If you can get it to load before the rest of the page that should help or else have the space where it goes loaded and ready for it the same as you can do with pictures. If the area is already loaded it wont jump the page up and down.

I thought you had disabled it Fred until I looked at the source. It has stopped the jumping up and down but, anyone like me who doesn't have the header expanded, wont see it. That is why I thought you had removed it :)

It's better up there Sandy although the horizontal alignment  needs tweaked. The header is expanded by default, if someone collapses it there is more than just the translation box they won't see. It's up to them really.

You also need to load the <script> at the beginning by moving it up to the <head> of the document with the rest leaving only the <div> element where you want it to appear. It will then load before the <div> element is parsed which means it should show right away. At present there is a lag and it loads the <script> after the header and page have loaded.

It's bit more complicated than that Sandy. The page is built dynamically so it can incorporate the vast number of configuration options, theme settings etc.  It's not simple HTML.

Fishtales

All your <scripts> should be in the <head> so that they are loaded and ready for the element that is loaded with the <body>. It doesn't matter if it is a .php or .html page. The .php script just uses the .head, .body and. footer to build and layout the page. As long as the elements are in the proper places then they will still work and when the source is viewed, as I am doing, it will look the same as if it was a static .html page :)

The way that page is being built the you have <script> in the .body as well as the .head. The ones in the body aren't loaded until after the .head and .body have been laid out. The <script> should be loaded with the .head so that it is ready for the element when it is loaded with the .body which reduces the lag and means the .body doesn't need re-drawing when the <script> is loaded.

I hope I explained that right, I know what I mean, sometimes it just doesn't come across right :)

With respect Sandy, that is not how this forum software works. It is dynamic, modifiable, configurable, modular and  complex. I know exactly what you mean, but that is not how this software works. It is a trivial point in any case and not worth spending time on, it does not matter at all what loads first, in fact it is better this way  as all the page functionality will be in place even if the Google site is down or slow and the forum scripts cannot load the translation elements. The box simply will not appear and the forum will continue to work as normal.
