I remember the day well.

The Willie MacRae case was an odd one but it was hardly "in the Scottish hills", more in his car off the road. There was once a Tory MP found  dead  on a kitchen table  wearing only women's  underwear, but that didn't have much to do with the Scottish hills either. I was thinking more along the lines of mysterious happenings in wild places to be honest.

wow some of these things are fascinating, a bit scary even!  I don't  think I'd wish to spend a night in that bothy at Ben alder!

not exactly the hills but there was a guy found dead in his tent on the west highland way....a year or something after he pitched it.

That is weird. The west Highland Way is not exactly a seldom used route. You might have thought someone would have noticed.

There was a tent on the shore of Loch Shiel for at least 2 years and we never went ashore to check it. :roll:

I seem to remember an old report on here (good few years back now i think??) of a potential horror story.
Didn't a WFForumite stop to help a stranger on a remote hill who appeared to be drunk and hence was being ignored by other walkers and it turned out the guy had had a stroke or something??

The one about the body at Bridge of Orchy is dated 2008. I came across this dated 2012 so is this another one?

Ot would seem he went missing in 2008 and was only found this year so it appears there are two :roll:
