A new quiz is up and running, but it has shown up an issue.
In a couple of the questions I set up, the last multiple choice option was  along the lines of "all of the above" or "none of the above". But Noddy (Jim) has pointed out that when you play the quiz the software shuffles the order of the answers, such that "all of the above" can appear as the first option- making no sense.
But try the quiz anyway because you now get a two-point start. If "all of the above" appears as an answer it is correct!
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

That was hard! I only got 8 right and most of those were lucky guesses.  :D

Naw that was too hard, I have never seen in my life seen such obscure question & answers,. I got 10 right but mostly educated & some not so educated guesses. I even got a"all of the above" one wrong. What madman thought up that one.

Inchlaggan, I should have guessed it was someone with far too much time on their hands.

I held top score for this Scottish birds quiz until I was ousted by two Englishmen   I intend to report them both to Eck  and have them deported sometime after  the end of  2014

Send them to Coventry

I'm English too and now I'm very happy I did not get a high score!  Coventry! My god how cruel !

As I wrote in the introduction to the quiz, the answers were checked (and questions found) in the excellent book-
"Scottish Birds- Culture and Tradition" by Robin Hull, some 300 pages of great stuff.
As a companion (by the same publisher) I also reccommend
"The Scots Herbal- The Plant Lore of Scotland" by Tess Darwin- a cider-type drink from rowan berries anyone?

If the berries are anything to go by it will be very bitter unless there is a lot of sugar in it :)
Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.
