I am working class. Apparently I am elite amongst the working class. I think it is because I have some savings and I know teachers!

"I still look up to him because although I have money, I am vulgar."

Played around with the test.
Leaving all other (honest) answers the same, it seems I rise and fall through the social strata based on my taste in music.
So I am dumping my Eminem CD and replacing it with my Three Tenors one.
Then I will look down on the lot of you and go fishen' for salming wif Wupert.
As I wish to leave the CD collection alone, and not be accused of elitism, it seems I will have to shun my dear neighbours the solicitor and university lecturer.
If this forum is considered "socialising" (which, IMHO, it is) then I can probably tick every box in the occupations list.
So I'll stick with Burns- A man's a man.
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

What a load of tosh, I am not established middle class, just because of who I socialise with,it didn't mention anywhere that I mix with worm drowners and fluff chuckers.

Its actually quite pathetic. I dont think a class system exists in scotland. Down south is different. What is termed elite do look upon everyone as shite under their shoe. Its also interesting to note that scotland only has 14% working class and 10% elite. Whereas the uk has around the same Percentage od working class but only 6% elite.

Most folk up hear just treat everyone the same. There are those at each end of the spectrum who are so stuck up and so neddy that they dont even count, and in that huge generalisation neds can still be elite.

Cheers

Paul
