I just can't make up my mind where to go fishing today

The Luther? The Bervie? The Lunan?   The Tay? The Braan? The Dean? The Isla? Loch Lee? The Backwater? Loch Beanie? The Shee Water? or should I have a wee drive up to The Don?

Oh yes, and how many pieces should I take?

Man oh man this leisured gentleman lifestyle  is tough.  :makefun

Oh and I forgot to add I'm still as fit as a 30 year old.

Inchlaggan

'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

I didn't bother. The sky wasn't exactly the right shade of blue today and I'm dead fussy about that kind of thing.  The 7 *C ,  the gale and heavy downpours didn't help either of course and hey ho - there's always tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that or the ............................

Better get used to it. According to the long range weather  it is to be colder than usual because the North Sea is cooler than normal for this time of year. The West on the other hand is to see rising temperatures over the next ten days and warm weather for the end of the month. Doesn't mean it isn't going to rain though and there has to be strong winds :)

This is the one I'm interested in for my week.

UK Outlook for Thursday 16 May 2013 to Thursday 30 May 2013:

Probably a good deal of dry and bright weather overall, although a risk of slightly more unsettled, showery conditions is signalled towards the start of the period. Given that the North Sea is expected to be colder than normal for May, this will leave many eastern coastal regions cooler than average. Away from coasts, daytime temperatures will most likely recover towards average or slightly above, and it should feel warm in any prolonged spells of sunshine.
Don't worry, be happy.

Looks good here for next week too, high teens, but since they really don't  have a clue beyond what's happening right now (and they very often get that wrong) I'll wait and see. The sea is very cold   as you say.  A few months ago they were blaming  the warm seas around Scotland for the lack of sand eels.

Weather forecasting is a bit like  fly fishing, instruction and guiding. All you really have to be able to do is talk shit convincingly. This is based on the premise that a good proportion of  those  requiring your services are likely be pissed off and desperate enough to believe anything.

Anyway, east - west - north - south - makes no odds. We free agents  can go anywhere as and when we please.  :8)

Make the most of it, wait until the grandchildren start to appear
