Midge burgers ?

Did anyone watch Swarm: Natures Incredible Invasions BBC4 last night. Lake Victoria Africa suffers with huge swarms of midges. The locals who are short of protein in their diet gather the midges and turn them into flyburgers. The programme showed them frying these very black looking burgers and eating them, delicious! Apparently they contain seven times more protein than a beefburger. A new seasonal speciality for the Highlands?
