The Esk Rivers Trust had an outing yesterday evening, a bit of an inspection tour  of  the Bervie Water, where fantastic work  has been done removing Japanese Knotweed.

We ended up  at The Anchor Hotel in Johnshaven for dinner. If you are in the area and looking  for great seafood give it a try. Not too expensive, friendly and unpretentious.  Johnshaven is a fine old fishing village and harbour just south of Inverbervie on the A92. It's a delightful spot.  :D

That Italians sea food stew crab, lobster, mussels white fish done with rice in a tomato and garlic sauce was to die for, will have to take the wife for a treat.

As you can see Fred i lived to tell the tale  ( in Joke )

Aye Eric, you'd better get a table booked and take her there ASAP. Shame on you going to the Bervie on her special day.

The Italian sea food stew was worth it though, wonderful!   :8)
