Unexpected purchase

Paid a short visit to Glasgow Angling Centre, we were passing it would have been rude not to. Had SWMBO and mini me in tow, after helping me peruse the hackles for a while:

He could not be separated from his trout, did not expect to be buying a cuddly toy in a fishing tackle shop.

They are pretty good, aren't they? I bought the broon troot version for my boy when he was two and he loves it - even takes it bed with him!

This is not a surprise Fred, nor is it a first. On our honeymoon I managed to get a days fishing, I caught bugger all whilst my better half landed a 7lb Salmon.
