Yep, as an ebay user I got an email.
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

If a site is going to be hacked then it will be. Does not matter what password you use. If they can hack your current password then they can hack any of your passwords irrespective of whether you change it or not. If they can get in they will get everything.
You have to rely on the site to have things in place that makes this most unlikely & by the looks of it maybe things are not to Kosher. Just one of the perils of this here internet.
Problems arise when people answear Spam & the like.

Rule of thumb is NEVER give any personal/ banking details & certainly not your password to anybody or any E Mail request. Only deal with sites that are encripted & show the padlock icon on screen. That's really all you can do. There are some clever crims out there.

But people still do & hell mend them.
