Hosted a Burns' Night for a small group of friends last Friday.

Had high hopes for this Mortlach sold to me on the advice it was the "new flora & fauna". It is not; it was pleasant enough but well outclassed by some admittedly stiff competition including a superb single-cask Edradour, another single-cask 62% Speyside and the 21-year old Parliament.

The Tasmanian Sullivan's Cove which (on its own) I like very very much was also dwarfed in this heavyweight company.

Got a bottle of Monkey Shoulder (a blend of three malts from William Grant) for Christmas.
Other than lighting the fire with it I can think of no other use- IMHO.
Added a couple of Indian single malts to the collection, and a Swedish one- I'll let you know.
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

200ml bottles, that is four standard (in ma hoose) drams per bottle.

Not a fan of Glenfarclas (thank the Lord). Will spend my money elsewhere.

You can pre-buy some of the Rasaay bottles, and invest in the, proposed,  rejuvenated Port Ellen.

I am beasting my way through Indian single malts, and rather fine they are too.

Anything you can recommend

Paul John Edited from Goa @ 46% is rather nice.
If you have been following events in Glengarry/ Cluanie/ Letterfinlay etc you will understand why my interest has been stimulated. Not been offered a freebie yet!
