Grim outlook for country sports in Scotland?

Now  the SNP have sold out to the Green communists and are to include them in government.

Part of the Greens manifesto is the regulation and eventual banning of country sports.

The ban is unlikely to happen in the short term, but changes are now inevitable. It's just a question of when and how much, not if.

Let's not kid ourselves,  the SNP would sell their granny if they believed it would further their agenda.

If you voted for these clowns don't complain when your shotgun is taken away or when they break your fishing rod over their knee.

I think the issue is bigger than the banning of country sports in the sense that it has been SNP policy to, basically, take rural land into public ownership and this does already appear to be happening in the sense that the "old money" is selling up. What happens once the countryside is owned by the Party I can't guess but I'm going to suggest that anyone who currently visits the country for sport, or anything else, is likely to be extremely disappointed should nationalisation ever take place.

On the other side of this I noticed recently that the UK Government have raised the possibility of Aberdeen becoming a "freeport" to the annoyance of the Party and the Greens, they want it to become a "Greenport" which, I guess, is somewhere that you go to get taxed for minding your own business. On top of this the UK Government approved a new Scottish oil field, an important part of SNP economic policy it seems, and something the Greens hate even more than minding their own business. I can't see it helping relations between the two parties. The Aberdeen area has not been overly keen on independence and it looks like it is being used to drive a wedge between Greens and National Socialists and it is also possible that Aberdeen is going to see advantages of keeping close ties with London. As I understand it a Freeport might generate very little tax revenue for government but might make people living in the area very well off indeed, what you might call a "cunning plan."

I'm going to suggest that this isn't over until the fat lady sings.

Indeed. My hope for eventual sanity and the removal from the Scottish body of the malignant tumour that is the SNP  is based on the vast majority of SNP supporters I know being quite sensible, decent people who hate the woke crap as much as any of us and this sell out to the Green commies might be the last straw when the reality of it hits home. However this is going to require Labour getting its act together and being credible again. The SNP support is rooted more in Scottish historical hate of The Tories (not unjustified)  than it is for any genuine  love of the SNP.  Add to that Labour's warmongering which was a massive gift to the National Socialists. The vast majority of SNP supporters are not die hard and won't like to see their freedoms taken away and their lives and families  ruined by Scotland's Tali-bam-pots.

You can take away our right to speak freely at our dinner tables but you will NEVER take away our fly rods

I am not worried. In fact, I am rather happy because jumping in to bed with the greens will hasten the demise of the SNP. I reckon they will be gone before the greens can do any serious damage.

Effiedeans had a fine piece on August 15th about the worst the SNP could do, highlighting the gender nonsense for primary schoolchildren. That and other green policy stuff on how to run down industry and the countryside must surely make supporters think twice. 28 out of 32 local authority areas strongly against separation ... where are most green votes based? Leafy bits of Embro?

Well healed, woke middle class frauds. We have had a few here over the years, do as I say not as I do.

One muppet preached about unnecessary  travel on Friday then jumped into his  gas guzzling Alpha Romeo and drove up to Orkney fishing on Saturday.

It will hopefully destroy the SNP but I'm not sure having in government what is a cover party for extreme leftists that allegedly contains  elements who would destroy our way of life  for the sake of being seen as "inclusive".

Not sure if they classify angling as a "blood sport" but this is an extract of the Greens' manifesto:

Angling is most certainly a blood sport and don't think for one moment you will get away with C&R. To the woke far left retards that's even worse.
