The scam of "renewable" energy

There is a figure of 100,000. That is that the sun's annual energy input onto the world is 100,000 times greater than the annual entirety of all man's energy budget. All planes and trains and lorries and buses and cars and all industry and domestic energy etc etc !!

Another was that enough solar input falls onto 1% of the Sahara that could convert to give Europe its electricity requirements. Plenty scope there and less cost than a nuclear power station.

Problem is this stuff is all pie in the sky written by people whose brains are overheating   sitting at fossil fuel centrally heated desks. 

Another big problem is the  "Sahara". We have to get away from relying on energy from regions with unstable regimes. Replacing Russia with some even more nut-job regime won't bring security. We have to exploit our own energy resources and that means coal, gas, oil, nuclear and the various renewables. You know, just like China does right now!
