Well that's it then, the final day at the trout  for nearly 6 months.   :(

I try to do the opening and the closing day, but it's rare for the final day to be a goer. Usually it's gales, rain and flood.

Today is fine but so windy casting would not be possible, so that's that I suppose!

Anyone going out?

Never have had the notion to fish the last day.
Finished up last Thursday before the weather switch was truly flicked. Dead as disco. Nice day, one fish between quarter and half pound that was daft enough to rise. Brother did better the day before in similar conditions. Four, with best being a pound and half on a gold headed nympph.
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside.

A waste of time here.
Chucking it down and blowing a hoolie.
Roll on next season.

Quite windy and wet on the club loch today. Level well up. Baled a lot out in six boats for some exercise. Caught one bonny brown at 14-15 inches and hovered the boat around drowned grass and shoreline rushes. A few risers right in close at black gnats and blown in terries but tempted only the one.
Usually find that things go off when there has been a big intake and a big rise in loch level. Others find the same?

Drastic sudden changes do seem to unsettle trout. Well done for getting out Vaughan.
