Returned from Caithness today by the A9 to near Stirling. Campervans and caravan/car combos made up a very small portion of the traffic and vehicles like Co-op lorries caused some tailbacks north of Inverness but that was all. The only serious bottleneck was caused by the long contraflow  section adjacent to the dual carriageway upgrading just north of Perth.
Over the last two weeks campervan numbers have not impinged at all. I wondered if a lot of them, and caravans, have been sold due to fuel costs and general living costs. Plenty campervans in our home locality seem to be used for 10 days a year with one of them being for the MOT and habitation certificate!
