Name The Fish

A Little Grebe or Dabchick catching fish to feed its chick today in Fife.

But what kind of fish is it?

Looks like a Stickleback.

Stickleback based on the shape of the tail in the second pic.

I'd also go with female due to the lack of colour.

It was the size that threw me. I thought it was a small perch until I saw the image on the PC screen.

They can grow up to 4 inches and remember Dabchick aren't exactly big
