There is just something appealing about these old steam trains

It's due back from Aberdeen at 17.42 in Arbroath Fred.

I think it's a nostalgia thing, a reminder of the pre-woke days when things just worked. Even workers.

I have always liked steam, used to go to traction engine rallies too, went to see the Clyde pffer steam boat and the Waverley. In the depths of winter I occasionally muck about with model engines too, I built one out of brass years ago.
