What hook is it, Varivas, TMC or Mustad?
If you want a real challenge try a Humpy on the same hook.  :shock: I've done the Humpy down to a #20 and almost did it on a #26, but the thread broke on the whipfinish and after "I'd gone into one" I decided not to attempt it again for a while.

Well done, but it can't be good for your eyes.

Hans, one of your micro flies on about a 24 or 26 caught me a 2lb plus fish last week. It fought really hard, but the hook held ok and when I landed it the fish had almost swallowed the fly. Thanks.

Only thing is, where to find deerhair thin enough?
But I might give it a try one day.
It's not really a big problem to tie flies like this; first of all, the materials should all be top-quality.
So a gold quality neck, a good vise, fine-pointed scissors, ceramic bobbin-holder, etc.
Second, the conditions, so good light, a contrasting back-ground, and an empty head.
This one was a TMC 518.

Practise with normal sized hooks, and when you succesfully tie them, size down in little steps.
Next challenge: size 32?
