Sent it through this evening - hopefully it's with you now.
Been looking all morning, cant find it :(.Was never that keen on John Bailey but did enjoy one or two of his books. This was probably because i used to fish in the places he used to write about, even if he did tell one or two porkies :D.Have seen the book for sale so will probably buy it again.
kevin.

Thanks Malcolm, got it.
Reviving this thread for pretty much the same reason as before.
The book contains a photograph of the Tomdoun bar with a young Danny Alexander (The Ginger Rodent) in the background.
The closure of the hotel has come to the attention of a lady in Australia who worked at the hotel alongside Danny.
She got in touch with me and I promised her a copy of the photograph which Malcolm kindly sent me (see above).
Being a prat, I have since deleted it.
So may I ask again if anyone who has a copy of "Casting for Gold" by John Bailey to get in touch on this thread or via PM.
Thanks
Ken
I think I still have a copy of that book Ken. I'll check tonight and let you know.
Alex
Ken, if you get stuck let me know. for the sake of a penny and the £2.80 postage i just ordered a copy off amazon...
So did I! But, while I await delivery, a copy of the photograph in question would be most welcome.
Check your PMs Ken.
Alex
Ken, book arrived today. got yours yet?
Yep, some interesting stuff for me in the first chapter, not sure about the rest!
chapter 3 for me, but then i've got more than an eye on spain again for later in the year! although i'll be huntin' 'em with the fly rod :8)
wading my way through to chapter 3. i'd forgotten just how gushing john bailey can be. lines like "The lake, i knew, had been created by an angler god" are a bit much... i do hope he wasn't talking about john wilson
There is but one Angling God and his name is Stan.
Many thanks to Alex for forwarding a copy of the photo I required.
The lady who wanted to see it did indeed work alongside Danny Alexander and is, unfortunately, too polite to dish the dirt.
However, she suggests that they were wild times in 1990.
