Title: Darrel Martin's Fly Tying Methods
Post by: drumgerry on February 24, 2006, 07:16:55 PM
Sorry guys just had to share this with you - I just got a copy of Darrel Martin's "Fly Tying Methods" on Ebay - don't know a lot about the book but it looks to have a progressive approach and I know that Darrel Martin was a pioneer of something or other in the fly tying world!!  But I checked on Coch y Bonddu books to see how much a copy was going for -

between ?60-?70!!

I got mine for ?13.09!!   Am I chuffed or what??

Mmmmm sounds about right I have perused the  Coch y Bonddu lists myself and recoiled when I have noticed  books I have  bought for (and have been only worth) a fiver,  listed for 4 times that much or more. Well, I suppose  we all have to make a living, but …………………. I often wonder if these second hand book guys are not buying off ebay themselves. An old pal of mine was a second hand book  dealer, a favourite for these chaps  is auctions or even better, house clearances where some poor old bugger has dies and his family  just wants shot of his stuff.
