Can I still use dots ?

Shakespeare Trion 9' #5 is faulty, been discontinued, no more left in stock. John Norris have offered me a refund or one of their John Norris Pro2 Fly Rods at a whacking (over half price) discount). Looks like a new and recent departure to produce their own rods and I can't see anything on t'web. Would be grateful for some input. Anyone come across these rods?

Situation leaves a bit of a hole in my tackle for Dundonnell

Fraid not from me,but I do not see a company like John Norris offering bad rods. You do not mention price but I suspect it will be a good offer. I would bite the bullet & go for it. Failing that you will just end up in the wash as to what rod to buy & there are literally hundreds to choose from today.

PS: wee fly selection ready.

My guess is Norris will be fine. Don't worry about being short of gear, I'll be bringing a few spare rods along as ever.

Thanks both of you.

On reflection I decided it was a bit of a no brainer as I was being offered a, probably, higher quality rod for the discounted price of an already cheap one
