Hi swithun I have a pair of snowbee 5mm waders with boot attached good points are it opens up a lot more water to you, and are warm in the cold weather, bad point walk any further than ? mile and your sweating buckets and heavy to carry if you don?t wear them but like you summer wader prices put me off .  john

For loch fishing I use a cheap pair of PVC chesties I bought from John Norris ?20 ish and very light to carry in comparison  to neoprene  They have a boot wellie type foot with cleated soles. In  most cases studs are not needed for loch fishing.  Like neoprene you sweat your nuts off walking in  them though.
