This fresh water canoeing is certainly popular Colin. loads of videos on YT

I wonder if these alternative water pursuits have taken over from fishing now as the main deal. No expensive / unavailable permits, no permission needed, no hassle. I just get the feeling we anglers are now dinosaurs. :(

That's what I thought Loch Benavane  (can't be bothered with the Gaelic spelling  :D ). Checked it on the OS map and the landform is identical. I have not  been up there for 30 years.
