Title: Looking for some where to have my Stag weekend in March.
Post by: Allan Crawford on February 02, 2009, 05:15:27 AM
Holding it on the weekend 20th to 22nd March, myself and most of my friends are either climbers or fishers or both. Looking for some thing along the lines of a stalkers bothy that I can rent some where out of the way, close to a trout loch. Have a few MBA bothys in mind but probably not a good idea to plan to use a bothy with a smallish group.

Thanks Allan

If you don't mind a long walk in waht about Attadale

Stay in Ben Dronaig Bothy and climb the hills or fish the lochs, or both :)

Not a bothy but I can recommend this place If it's not booked - short breaks are available. Perfect for Slioch and Beinn Eighe and well out of the way. Lots of very good trout lochs too including Fada. Just a bit early though unless you are very lucky.

Thanks for the ideas guys, offshore just now and the internet on my computer is not working tonight, will check out these ideas when its back, had hoped to use the bothy on Arkaig but concerned it might be busy with the Brownie season just started. It would have been the perfect venue to get my new boat in the water which is due to arrive on the 20th Feb.

Thanks Allan

..... followed by a lifetime of restriction and bondage.

Lucky you CB, my wife winnae do kinky stuff

Great idea for a stag night though, beats spewing up ootside some dodgy nighclub in Newcastle, make sure the strippers have sturdy shoes though, peat bogs and stilletos wont be a good mix :o

On my own wedding day, at the reception, all the guests were passing on their congratulations.

My cousin Tam walked up, looked at me and  said ?you fucking stupid bastard", then walked away.

Congratulations Alan, and  never forget  the  words of Tam Cargill  from Arbroath.   :D
