South Uist accom suggestions please

Can't get bokked at The Angler's Retreat for the dates we're planning to be in Sth Uist. Can anyone recommend an alternative B&B or even a self-catering cottage/bothy??

We've used 'Sheabhal' near Milton for last couple of years(a few miles north of Lochboisdale). Nice comfortable 4 bedroomed cottage, good position, friendly owners, reasonable price. Don't have the details to hand, but google should sort you out.

We phoned round the locals and ended up with a static caravan. The owner didnt have a photo but we booked it anyway. It was a dump.
Complete midden. I've seen chickens living in better accomodation. I'm itching just thinking about it. The only good news is that it must have fallen down by now- it didnt have another winter left in it and was held together by rope at the time. Failthe gu h-Alba. Buyer beware!
