Did not look much of a success to me. To me looked like it flamed out rather than exploded. Rock seems intact just dislodged & rolled down a few metres. Video is not the best though.

PS latest is that the road will be open soon so must have worked what they intended to do. Just did not look like it to me from the poor video footage. Maybe it was just me being used to more powerful stuff all be it 40 + years ago.

Pretty cool.

The way it burnt and the amount of smoke given off suggest that they weren't using high explosive (may be black powder after all?).

Apparently, i read somewhere, they inserted 30 explosives into the rock to destroy it, i'll see if i can find a link.
