Neoprenes for float tubing

Allan is right in my opinion about the layering and the adaptibility of breathables.

Cotton though, is not a good choice of clothing unless you are too hot.
I would go for good quality fleece or wool.

I know it sounds daft, but the wear and tear issue with breathables for tubing might be solved by wearing a pair of swimming shorts on top, just like you do with socks over neoprene stockingfeet.

It would also give your mates a good laugh :D

I bought a pair out the Glasgow Angling Centre a few years ago for ?40 quid with bag included and had no problems at all. I think it's a case of luck with neoprenes you can buy a pair at ?200 quid and rip the arse out them the first time out.
