In Decembers issue of the field they are offering chalk stream fishing for Grayling at £35 a day on the Test, £40 a day on the Lower Itchen and if you would like a guide then it's £189 to £229 per day, no wonder they are little fished.Bet you could treble that for troot in the summer.

First time I fished the Test for grayling it was £25.00 for the day and you had the roam of about 18 beats. At the time I inquired about prices for day tickets and was quoted £117.00 + VAT Mon to Frid and £125.00 + VAT Sat & Sun, and that was for a single beat!
