Don't see it but is there a non fishing book good read thread, if not would anyone like to reply with their good read suggestions ?
I enjoyed all Pratchet disc world books , A.C. Doyle, Tolkien, Isacc Asimov, Raymond E Feist and a few autobiographies.
Is there a link to a topic already started or what did you like ? Ta. Ian

Book 6 in the Darkslayer series was the last so I may well move on to some of the others. The Zombie series had good reviews too.

Another author I read.

I got the trilogy, which is cheaper than getting all three, of Dragonlore, Songs of Dragons and Dragon War.

Peter May's trilogy,  the black house, the lewis man and the chess men.

Recently re read "Riddley Walker" by Russell Hoban;

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Riddley-Walker-Russell-Hoban/dp/1408832240/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382969211&sr=8-1&keywords=riddley+walker

Have to say I really enjoyed it, much more than I thought and more than I did first time round. Perhaps thats because I already knew some Riddley speak.

Another is "Am Beal Bocht" (The poor mouth) by Flann O'Brien;

An Astronaut's Guide to Life On Earth, Col Chris Hadfield

From your past preferences add R H Heinlein ("Time enough for love" and "I will fear no evil" - Malcolm and I shared an enjoyment of those two) or Philip Jose Farmer's "Riverworld" saga. For something lighter Douglas Adams "Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" series.
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."
