Got a Canon IXUS 132 compact camera from Santa.

Simple question; What is the easiest/best way to put pictures onto my computer.
Is using a card reader ok or is there better /easier ways.
My old Nikon came with a disc that you installed but this one comes with zilch & the instruction booklet does not actually tell you how to do it.
thanks in advance.

Three different ways.

1) USB lead from camera to computer.

2) Card reader.

3) Built in card reader on a laptop.

When inserted you will get a pop up window asking you what you want to do with the pictures. Choose whichever suits. Usually you get; Download to a specific directory; Open with, and gives a few programs that you have on the computer.

You can also download the Software from the website if you want.

I use a very simple system. Picassa3. USB cable from camera or phone. Click on "import" and it creates a folder with any title you choose.  Done.
